Terms of service
Last updated April 27, 2026
By creating an account or using Joshua you agree to these terms. They cover the basics: what the service does, what you're responsible for, and the limits of our liability.
The service
Joshua ("we", "us") is an MCP server that returns tool descriptions and auth context to AI agents under your control. We do not call third-party APIs on your behalf and we do not store credentials. Your agent makes API requests directly using credentials it resolves from your own environment or secret store.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and Joshua API key secure.
- You're responsible for everything done under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Joshua to facilitate illegal activity or violations of others' rights.
- Submit tool descriptions containing malware, unlawful content, or content that infringes others' intellectual property.
- Attempt to access other accounts, probe for vulnerabilities, or otherwise interfere with the service.
- Resell or redistribute the service without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
You retain ownership of the tool descriptions, notes, and other content you submit. By submitting a tool description to the public catalog you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it as part of the catalog. Private descriptions remain scoped to your account.
Third-party APIs
Joshua describes APIs but does not call them. Your use of any third-party API is governed by that provider's terms, and you are solely responsible for complying with them. We make no representation that any tool description in the catalog is current, accurate, or authorized by the provider it describes.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Beta features are provided as-is.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination your tool registrations and notes will be deleted; the public catalog license described above survives for entries already published.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here and update the date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
